Description
It 'consists of a set of conductive parts that can download to ground dangerous voltages that
may occur on the metallic panel equipment , to an isolation failure.
The ground electrical system is made up of several components:
Ground rods that have the purpose of discharging the ground current in the ground.
Ground electrod conductors that have the purpose of connecting the collectors of the main and secondary
ground to sinks and sinks between them.
Equipotential bonding conductors that are meant to connect the metallic outside panel with
system ground.
Grounding-equipment conductors that connect the metallic panels of the ground system to bounding jumber
to ground.
L 'earthing system must be dimensioned so that it can conduct efficiently, the current that
crosses in order to ensure a protection for indirect contact, and this is achieved by:
- In respect of materials and sections of the minimum required name.
- In respect of thermal verification of its components.
- In respect of proper coordination between the same system and protection devices for contacts
indirect.
When an electrical system has more voltage levels (eg HV / MV / LV), then the gound system must
constitute a single ground rod, and that the same should be sized and coordinated for
single-phase fault currents at high voltages, both for the zero-sequence fault currents circulating in the medium
voltage system and for fault currents in low-voltage system.
